Heritage Tree Groves
Oak Hill got its name because of the ancient and majestic oaks that line Williamson Creek and the surrounding area. These century-old trees are an asset to our community.
Under TxDOT’s plan, multiple historic heritage tree groves would be wiped out. You can view a slideshow of the trees we’ll lose in the “Oak Hill’s Unique Heritage” gallery.
The devastating effect on our trees is shown above in a before and after animation. All of the heritage oak groves are wiped out. The TxDOT plan leaves us two trees in the shadows of an elevated toll road.
